Overall a good run out and on another day we win that game .Once we made a couple of subs we are very weak a striker is badly needed and send Hirst back he's useless as well .On to the next game with hopefully a couple in
Cant disagree, I think Hirst is marginally poorer than Vas, should send Blackman back as well

A good performance from us unfortunately Everton had that little bit of extra class to come off the bench.
We could and really should have won it in 90 minutes rather than it go to extra time.
A lot of compliments about our players and the way we performed from Talksport comms.

We must have made fifty odd grand from that game so should help a little towards cashflow at the club, every bit counts and it should buy TS a few more cigars lol.

Very, very proud of the lads .Everton were given a match that they probably didn't expect. We have players who have class and determination and we can look forward to the rest of the season with optimism.Warney could possibly persuade Carlo to lend us one of their talented kids to play in this quality squad we have.We created more chances than them and if we could just get someone in to finish these, we are more than capable of rising up to mid table.

As I said in the OP, in Sigurdsson they brought a player off the bench who cost more than our stadium and whole squad put together.

In the second half they brought on 4 internationals.
We brought on 2 strikers with no goals between them all season Trevor Clarke and billy Jones.
Fizzled out to nothing in extra time after we were excellent in the second half.
In any other year we would be looking forward to a well deserved replay.
The subs killed it for us. But we’ve got to protect our better players.
    No complaints from me.

Was actually a great game to watch to say this time yesterday I wasn’t too bothered about it.

    Olosunde Man of the Match
Team showed spirit in the last 20 mins of the first half, taking the game to Everton, could have walked off at half time 2-1 in front, good start to second half, again the Millers showing their worth in the football played.
But the subs brought on, for Smith & Crooks, being Hirst & Vassell did not have the impact of the players they replaced, thought Clarke was a decent sub.
Rotherham need to sell or loan out Vassell, send Hirst back to his parent club, & bring in players who could help our quest to stay in the championship.

    22.5k for the losing team.
    62.5k for the winning team.

Ah much less stressful 90 mins than normal and under normal circumstances would have had another bash at them at NYS. Then it wasn't a match we were expected to win and it has little bearing on our season. Still, glad we weren't shamed and if some people could shoot straight who knows what might have been. Trouble is when we have tired legs we don't really have the game-changing subs who can raise the game for us. Think we can let Hirst go back and Vassell surely can't rely on his one wonderstrike to justify a place in the team. Trust we are getting a bigger fit squad now though as players come back from injury. And of course we and Derby can now concentrate on the league.

Did we ll after the usual wobbly start and proud of the way we played up until the last 10 mins when the extra quality in the half a team they brought on began to show. Relieved no injuries and hopefully we can take heart from the performance. Olasunde looked great going forward and midfield linked up well with forwards for the most part of the game.
