How many times have we had two consecutive home matches and I’ve though ‘if we can just get 4 or 6 points from these two games we’ll be fine’ only to see us fail miserably. The best was when we had Paul Hart as caretaker manager and we had a few ‘winnable’ home matches to try and avoid relegation, only for him to play one up front to protect the point!!
It’s like tonight. I will actually tune in expecting us to win. I just can’t help myself!!
This sounds familiar.....every time I 'bound' up the steps to my seat looking around the ground that hold so many magic memories with pride to have such a wonderful place to watch football and filled with excitement only to end up sat there shaking my head in frustration/anger/embarrassment!
Still....it's only a game,right?....and we've got another one to look forward to tonight!

I enjoy everything about my trips to ML, pre match pint, walk to the ground, getting in my seat, pre kick off atmosphere.

    And then the football starts...

Ha ha, second all of that
I enjoy it so much I can't understand the 'beat the traffic' merchants who come over all panic-stricken at the 85 minute mark and miss the game's finale just to get to the car park first

Some have buses or trains to catch that they might miss if they wait until the end or could be going out on a Saturday night.

    They're already out
Some maybe, but for most it's 'beat the rush', they even say so.

Problem is the Pavis is actually really badly designed because unlike the Kop the exits are right at the bottom of the stand and if you sit near the top like me it can sometimes take a very long time to get out. I tend to make my way down with a couple of minutes to go but usually just to get a few pitchside pics if I can, but still wait for the final whistle before I leave.

Bang on Elite. The atmosphere may be very good but the view from the Kop is poor. Offsides and perceived fouls that clearly arent are always the most common and amusing.

Plus I always make sure I get there 10/15 mins before kickoff as the pre game and the half time chat with the regulars who sit around me are often the best bit of the game. It's certainly more guaranteed than the entertainment on the pitch

Badly designed exits but the best view on of the action in the ground if 2/3rds - 3/4s of the way up the stand.

Perhaps they should install aircraft-style emergency slides exiting from the top of the Pavis out of the back into ball pools. It would make the final whistle so much more fun.
