Goat. There's a name to remember.
A French version of Honest Dane.
The owners like to appoint a loveable, smooth talker to get their pillakin message to the fans. The OGC Nice fans soon spotted a fake and campaigned to get him out.
It seems to work judging by the number taken in on this and other message boards.
Season Ticket sales project next--our wonderful fans will pay up again, but again no contribution from Conway

Having given it some thought, the PMG and their philosophy simply doesn't work at a big club like OGC Nice. I think it's fair to say that long term building simply won't suffice at clubs in the higher echelons. Instant success is demanded when tha talking Champions league and challenging for domestic honours.

I think that's why they target the clubs who are on the periphery. They clearly dunt put a penny of their own dosh into it. To get success at clubs like Nice takes major investment and as we know, Lee and Conway ain't going to do an Abramovich and use their own wealth as capital to gain success.

A can't think of any club involved in the higher echelons of any European top flight that hasn't been bankrolled by their owners. However, working the way that they do, if tha builds over time wi a smaller club then it is possible to ev relative success wi art getting heavily into debt.

I take your good point Pass but they made one hell of a lot of money in a short space of time at OGC Nice without spending a penny of their own .

Definitely a long term strategy to be working towards a Barnsley v Nancy Champions League Final mate .

I think they are following the Red Bull strategy , well I say that , the Red Bull strategy minus any investment , minus any advertising their company and minus any limelight !!!! , which hmmm is the whole point of Red Bull getting involved in football across a number of clubs .

Very strange to me mate .

Just a fraction of the £8 billion available to Conway. Yo Paul, Get in there.
