I subscribe to The Athletic and Hay provides excellent reports as far as I’m concerned. Best sports subscription I’ve had by far btw. Would recommend anyone interested in sports to give it a bash.

    wtf,

venom is misplaced here. with all the ***kstick propagandists and "journalists" out there he's certainly better than almost all of them. He's also a friend of the club. He's generally more right than wrong and who knows what he's being fed by the FA and the club.

save that bile for the propagandists that want to sell us the bill of goods that covid lockdowns and globalism will make our quality of life better.

No venom or bile, just fed up with all the pundits (Hay included at the moment) spouting nothing just to fill space. Hay has been informative, knowledgeable, and as you say, a friend of the club. Just of late we have had the same drivel as from asombalonga (or whatever his name is) and the like.

Get back to what he does best and mark himself out from the other idiots.

A lot of dead time to fill.

as you know.... not a good time to risk getting laid off or being replaced by some amoral corporate mouthpiece. I think the term is "ageism". a lot cheaper to hire a mindless puppet that will say or do anything they are told by their employer than actually report the truth (as they know it). I think Phil walks the line pretty good. He's in a tough spot.

The quality of articles from the YEP seems to have gone down since he left - Athletic is a very good read and has lots beyond football too.

Hasn’t he changed jobs. Perhaps his sources now aren’t as ‘in the know’ as they used to be.

How come it was not reported Bielsa was gone if we lost to Brentford

And yes new manager Chris Houghton

    Any answers on this please

Still not convinced that story is true - they may have been considering options but no way would you swap Bielsa for Houghton.

Houghton was in the Stand that night everything was in place....
That is a total 100% fact
