However, a fairer way would be to offer it via the raffle system, which gives a wider spread of fans the option to buy tickets and possibly win AND (more importantly) potentially raise more money for Bluebell Wood
Yes it’s about time this happened, give every fan a chance instead of limiting them with them auctions

So he’s upset by a minority and the majority have to suffer? really grates me that

Really gutted that Paul doesn't post on this board any more. As said above, you didn't have to pay for the links if you didn't want to. Prepares Puppy Flurry of Paws. Grrrrr

What about auctioning Lewis Wing,s match worn shorts after he was assaulted on TV by another trotter.

Perhaps one for our female posters

It was a bit pathetic complaining about clicking a link and making out it was a stressful hardship having to use the back button after finding out you had to pay.

Are these the same people you see in Morrisons crowded around the news section reading the back pages of the Tizer without paying for it?

Why? Why does it grate you? Were you vocal in condemming the negative comments about him? CAM was, I know this because it was mentioned to me by Paul told when he contacted to tell me that he wasn't going to post any more.

Like everyone that posts on here they have a choice and Paul is no exception.

You could look at it as free marketing for a paper that has circulated around Rotherham for years.
Everyone that has had a paper round knew that Fridays would be a tough one because of having to deliver the Advertiser along side the other papers.

He's right, 100% right because unless you live in the area you can't have a paper delivered the old fashioned way. But like all other journals and editorials the Advertiser is having to sell on-line to try and survive. Let's be honest most of us on here would read the back page and sports section first, followed by who's dies and then the main news if you can class a misplaced flower bed Main news.

For him, through instruction from his employers have to sell fresh off the print stories to be able to compete with other outlets and survive.
As CAM said, Paul gave lots of free stuff along side the 20p articles but you have always been given a choice. You read them or you don't. you pay for them or you don't!

Paul has always been approachable, respectful and responded to people who have asked him questions. He did this up until the last post of his but like a lot of folk before him he's had enough of the negaitivity on here.

Let me make one thing clear. CAM and I spoke about this situation when at the beginning of Feb Paul contacted me. We decided not to say anything and to see what happened but secretly we were hoping Paul would have a change of mind and start posting again. This unfortunately hasn't happened so we have to believe that, true to his word he's stopped posting.

I DID however ask him if it would be ok to copy the links that he puts on other social media and to put them on here. He agreed to this so anyone wanting to cut and copy any links from Paul Davis and The Tiser on to MillersMad is free to do so.

Not sure why it wouldn’t grate anyone when the majority are being ignored just because there’s a few idiots about tbh.

Vocal? Why what happened? Only thing I saw was a few moaning like we normally see on here.

Vocal? Laughable comment tbh seeing what goes off on here with certain posters and others including yourself don’t seem to be vocal, I’ve had a few running and Cam has had his far share but I’ve not seen much vocal there.

Anyway it doesn’t bother me I buy the paper and also see him on twitter

Does that mean I can’t credit his tweets on here anymore?

Thanks for the explanation. In honesty I don’t want to read the other stuff so I won’t pay for the full paper. However with the economic climate being what it is I fully understand why there was a need for what I consider a small charge. Paul’s articles were well created, informative and he has the support of the club., not like a few years back when Advertiser staff were banned. As Others have rightly said it’s an individuals choice if you pay the 20p which I have chosen to do because I think Paul’s articles are value for money especially as that 20p buys you access for 24 hours - it’s not 20p per article. I will miss his posting not because of the missing link but rather that his posts went on to stimulate debate on the article itself. How many wanted to know if we would appeal the red card? Paul said we were in in his article, I read that before I picked that faint glimmer of hope up anywhere else! The man is in the know. How fickle were are at turning good reliable information away. Paul sorely missed by me.
