If i’m honest I’d be happy to see the back of BBC and one reason being that are forced to pay a licence fee, which to me is just another form of tax. I’ll see it as tax and I don’t like the way they report the news. Their TV programmes are fine, like Peaky Blinders and worth paying for to watch.

However, i found during the election they were heavily biased towards the tory party and so think there’s aspects of news where it is right leaning. Kuensberg who thinks she’s the female Peston is a joke and I thought during the election she was so biased. There are so many reasons why labour lost though and the BBC isn’t only one of the reasons.
There are aspects of the BBC i just cannot stand and some of these have been addressed on here.. about it claiming to be PC bit on the other hand it’s not. It’s not a fair way of giving us news and with many online media it’s just about getting the hits. This is just a gist of what i think of the BBC and during the Trump saga, many americans didn’t like MSM and this included the BBC. Maybe they should change to BPM - British Propaganda Media.

btw a contract has been awarded to russians to build the new media presentation thing for no. 10 - you just can’t make it up.

I have to disagree with certain aspects of your post Regis as I felt that the BBC were biased towards the Labour Party, hence my comment on Corbyn. I have to agree with you on Laura Kuensbergn though, as I dislike her immensely. However, we appear to disagree as to the reasons. I felt that she was anti government and her bias was towards the left. As a political commentator she comes over as harsh and not very personable. I certainly agree with you over the license fee as well. Perhaps we are not so far apart after all.

That’s interesting LB. Perhaps what i’m referring to are aspects of incidents that have occurred where i felt they were favouring the tory party. For instance, the BBC would make a mockery of labour MPs and make fun of them whereas they’d present the policies of tory parties members in a more positive light. One example was from a Newsnight programme when Fiona Bruce was heavily mocking a labour MP, can’t remember the story that well but it made the headlines. She clearly showed no impartiality. Plus they gave Farage so much air time early on then he deserved, it was simply to pull viewers numbers in.
Recently, when Andrew Marr interrogated Hancock.. it was just left at that and for that day only. Usually when a serious thing occurs, you hear it for days. News headlines about this interview seemed a little muted both on the news and website immediately after. It just looked very deliberate. Guess that is just my view and i like many on here am not the biggest fan of Hanncock. He still gets away with it.

Andrew Marr is a Left as they come......he used to sell the Morning Star FFS!

Peston and his partner are rabidly Left, so is Emily Maitlis and the bloke who left SKY to become editor of Newsnight last year, he’s always posting anti Tory stuff.

Andrew Neil ( although traditionally from the right ) is really the only one in the last 20 years who interviews either side with the same surgical skill, he never shows favouritism.

I like Laura Kuenssburg.......I find her informative and even handed.

Agree with you there Mick apart from Laura K. I think she’s very anti government and up her own arse. Have you seen when she’s talking her lip goes to one side - have a look next time it’s a right put off. You can’t beat a bubbly bird with nice lips and she isn’t either!

I’m not sure what attraction there is to her in terms of reporting/being a journalist, i think she’s awful.

Helen Catt is a new upcoming one, decent and think she’ll take over Laura very soon.

The BBC's completely poe faces after the Brexit result and Anna Soubre being interviewed complaining FOR DAYS was as plain as the nose on your face 123. The BBC is as biased as anything can be. Totally anti Trump from the get go and now keeps quoting the lovely Mr Biden. The fact that The new set up has a health secretary who likes to dress in girls clothing fits their agenda to a T! No comments there. The BBC WAS the best. Not now.

    More tripe.

Don't worry, the BBC won't be around in 10 years.

The Tory that is in charge of it will make sure of that.

Then you'll have to see what other causes the Daily Mail want to pursue - so you can also support that too.

All of the RW press are actively against the BBC.

Its no coincidence that people on here feel the same way.
