Well, let me conversely post a positive drunken happy thread about NCM.

As a Notts fan living alone in a studio flat in Sheffield, I have very much appreciated this forum during lockdown. I have a pal who I text during games but it has also been great to read the discussions and occasionally contribute. The running battles between certain posters (looking at you Elite and Laddo) have also been entertaining. Only on #NCM as some might say!

This season is increasingly looking like it won't end well (I have personally written us off reaching the play offs - would love to be wrong) but regardless I hope you all look after yourselves and that we all see each other down Meadow Lane soon enough - I guess at Weymouth. I miss my train journeys to Nottingham.

My Grandad Les took me down to the lane as a lad, and in doing so stopped the red elements of my family who took me to the City Ground several times in the hope I'd join the dark side. If he can get through a world war, I can get through a bad Notts season.

Here's to things improving next season. Believing that might invoke irrational optimism, but if being a Notts fan had a 'Required Skills' section, that would be first on the list!
You’re, hic, you’re my besht friend, you are.

One sixth of the price makes it an easy choice. I'm lucky in that I prefer a really dry cider, which tends to be the cheapest. I find even the medium ones far too sickly.
I've got a friend in the industry who is a beer connoisseur and although good GF beers are hard to come by I've asked him and he's suggested.

Gypsy Hill's Bandit GF Ale. Not cheap but worth it. Green's also do a good one available at Sainsburys if you fancy a change up from Cider.

Yes, it's the wheat, malt and barley in beers that add the gluten, ciders are made with fruit so are naturally gluten free. Cider has become quite a big market in the UK, with varieties like pear, dark fruit, strawberry, and rhubard quite common. It's hard to find in a lot of countries though, what they call cider tends to be a very gassy sparkling wine.

I've tried a couple of Green's brews from Sainsburys. Their Pilsner is a bit light and bland, but the Supreme Golden Ale they do is very drinkable. It's the sort of beer that once you've had one, you don't want to stop. The kids sometimes get me a few for birthdays or Christmas but at £5.61 per litre, the £1 per litre cider comes out on top for me.

A friend of mine is gluten intolerant and drinks whiskey, which is apparently gluten free. Not much use if your tipple of choice is beer.

I think this season is pretty much done for us but I am looking forward to next season already.

It's bound to be better, isn't it?
