Remember sitting in the living room with mates about mid-late 90s watching the teletext on transfer deadline day, specifically remember it because Tommy Burns went mad at Reading signing about a dozen players.

Regards Josimar, I remember the story broke the morning of Arbroath v Utd Scottish Cup game at Gayfield (0-7). The feeling was Utd had been used to generate interest in Josimar, but shows changed days when United could be linked to the break out star at the 86 World Cup, for Brazil no less. I was thinking that about the Champions League last night, when a team missed out on winning a major title it could be a generational thing, really resonated losing, but teams like Man City know they are one of only probably 6-7 teams that realistically can win the Champions League each year, so that magnitude/risk is essentially gone, as they know they will keep getting chances.

Yep got to admit in the age before the internet getting back into the house and waiting patiently for the teletext pages to load so I could see a result.

Bought a weekend in Paris off that as well, the hotel bedroom was the size of a matchbox. Happy days

How many times did your coupon go doon with that late equaliser that only appeared 10 minutes after you thought your bet was up?.

Transistor radio in the back of the shed letting folk know what was going on elsewhere, instead of smartphones and livestream 😂

I think this needs a stage play and a 7 page Tully special commemoration edition.
