    SPAIN 0-0 SWEDEN

Frustration here for Spain, and it has to be said that Sweden were more than a bit lucky. The first 0-0 draw of the tournament!.

    Fottballs coming home.
    Come on England!
just think if they were as fit as the Barnsley lads and could press for 90 mins.

Hey its an interesting idea innit Daft, Engerland totally pressing like Barnserley.
(and yesss Daft lad, I see you've found the England board as well now, where I do also post regularly on lol)

In fairness though, and yes I was critical of his starting line up, I think Gareth got it right on this occasion and we outplayed Croatia. Yes admittedly they look like a poor shadow of their impressive team from the 2018 World cup, and we should have beat them more convincingly.
Im not impressed with Harry Kane again at the moment, he doesn't look fit or sharp and he actually looks like his mind is on other things, like a big money move away from Tottenham for example.

I duno mate... id like to think they looked poor because England have improved.. Kane i agree is being marked out the game. But that creates space elsewhere. Also on the other hand we were like this in 96 with our striker who was just leaving Blackburn. He turned out decent 👌.
But ya know me im all in!!!!
be it Barnsley (in season) or England.
    Cant help misen.
    Football eh...

    ENGLAND 0-0 SCOTLAND

This was very disappointing to be honest, obviously after the hype of beating Croatia like we did in the first game.

The Scotch were never going to make it easy for us and it was never going to be a four or five goal thrashing, and I think we have to pretend we're happy with a point tonight. We're in a good position after two games, and qualification is still in our own hands going into the final group game.

I can't add much more to that to be honest.

    ENGLAND 1-0 CZECH REPUBLIC

Ok so we managed to win this final group game against the dangerous Czech team. We werent that great and we made hard work of it again... but we've won the group and havent conceded a goal yet. Raheem Sterling seems to be our danger man right now, and its Germany of all teams up next at Wembley!.

    Last-16 Round

    ENGLAND 2-0 GERMANY

Wow, we've finally done it and have taken a certain monkey off our backs here lol.
We have finally beat Germany when it really matters, in a knock-out tournament game, rather than in a friendly or a tournament group match etc. It looked like a really disappointing defensive set up originally by Gareth to be honest, but the result sticks up for it, and to be honest is wasn't a defensive performance actually.
Well done lads, we're into the Quarter finals, away in Italy/Rome of all places lol.

    Quarter Final

    ITALY 1-0 BELGIUM

Another big team to go out here, and it was credit again to Italy for largely keeping out Belgium's main threats. Some fans were suggesting Italy still hadn't been tested yet at this point, but they had a tricky half of the draw and had still come through mostly untested.

    Quarter Final

    SPAIN 1-1 SWITZERLAND
After extra time, Spain win on penalties

Spain just edged it here on pens when the Swiss failed to score theirs, and they didn't look as good this time as they had done when beating France, also on pens. Spain meet Italy now in the Semis, and they have had some good matches over the years.
