    You look at 2 moments at Plainmoor for hope with DKE - his goal in the first game, and his run and cross for Ruben's goal in the play-off semi. He improved through the season so if he continues on that trajectory maybe he's the man for that slot...
    Confidence in his own abilities and getting ultra-fit would be the keys for that.

    It's a good point. With someone like DKE if that was indeed the case you would hope he would have have the attitude of 'I will show them" and would leave them no choice with an impressive performance throughout the season.

    Plus you would want to put yourself in the shopwindow in the best light with a good season before being released.
