We do have a 2nd team! Surely you don’t want to risk Victor or Viccars getting injured playing in that team!

And just how many competitive games does this 2nd team play in a season?

    Hardly any

That’s irrelevant, an injury can occur anytime. Would you want your main two keepers being risked? Before you say it I know he isn’t a keeper but what about Procs, he was looking so good when he got injured, never the same afterwards.

    But where does that stop?

    Three players for each position?

Even if both of our keepers were unlucky enough to get injured I doubt PW would play that young lad.

If that scenario occurred would PW put the young lad in the net or sign a more experienced keeper on loan using the emergency loan rule.

    The latter I suspect

Grist is right to a point in that keepers can be loaned, in an emergency, at any point in the season. However, warney stated prior to the signing that he was on the lookout kout for what he referred as "a training keeper". Wages will be low and if he turns out to be really good then we'll pop him up the pecking order.

Yes, I understand the specialist position bit, it appears that others don’t though ( not you Grumps)

What you say makes sense, maybe we might loan him out to build his experience

Yeah I just did a bit more digging and it looks as though GKs can still be brought in on emergency loans. They have tightened up outfield positions where you used to be able to get them in.

    Apologies.

Nobody expected much from Viktor last season and he has probably become our No.1 so you never know.

Maybe him being 18 means he doesn't count towards the squad numbers also, hopefully.
