Loved the skateboarding competitions, the sport climbing not so much.

The break dancing at the Paris games should be awesome and very impressive viewing.

Some aren't best pleased and I suppose they have a point. Breakdancing will feature as an Olympic sport but not squash? Not that I do either.

The Aussie coverage is finger down your throat, pandering, fawning, OTT stuff.

I always enjoy the Olympics, but it's becoming hard to decide what is and isn't a worthy Olympic sport. Skateboarding must take a high level of skill, but so does tiddlywinks and table skittles. Maybe it's an age thing, but have to admit I'd struggle to celebrate a 9 year old winning an Olympic gold in the Mario Karts category.

Actually ''Rhythmic Gymnastics'', may well be another of those that a lot of people don't deem a ''worthy Olympic Sport''. I always enjoyed watching it meself.

As a fully paid up member of celebrating all that is great about our islands, even I was suprised at the level of fawning, some of the BBC commentators showed, but it did make a nice change to get away from all the negativity they have been promoting over the last few years.
I could listen to Sir Chris Hoy and Michael Johnson till the cows come home.
I do tend to agree with countygump, about the rhythmic gymnastics, it seems to grab my attention from start to finish for some inexplicable reason
