I have not eaten from a Chinese takeaway since the start of COVID. I try to avoid anything to do with China. Unfortunately everything made nowadays is made in China.
My Dad was in the QE for a few weeks about 6/7 years ago, the ward opposite him was for soldiers coming back maimed and injured by the Taliban, you could hear the helicopters land on the roof bringing them in, my dad told me he was in the cafe and overheard one poor lad talking to his dad saying how his life was ruined and all he was use for now was a night security guard! These lads lost their futures fighting for what? It’s a terrible tragedy and a disgrace, the politicians owe these young lads far more than an apology.
The taliban are vermin, our troops had to fight them with one hand behind their backs, one example being as soon as an insurgent threw down his weapon and started to walk away we had to disengage. Collectively the UN should have a huge surge force wiping them out completely and keeping them out, however the UN are as much use as tits on a nun.. Terrible truly Terrible..
We could do with China invading Afghanistan and taking it over.......we wouldn’t need to worry about letting Taliban soldiers walk away having dropped a weapon!
I have no doubt they’d clean them out with ruthless efficiency.
We’re too nice.
China has the number one military might in the world, biggest army, biggest navy and has been a nuclear country since the 1950's.
Let's not forget our old friends the North Koreans, who have a standing army of 1.3m and reserve's numbering 6m. Also nuclear they have developed a missile that could reach New York.
The world now is frighteningly similar to the one in 1914. One day WW3 will kick off, we have been very close in the past, but it's more or less inevitable.
It will probably be preceded by a cyber attack on other countries military systems.
I remember at school in 1963 or 64 we had a teacher who said a number of times that another world war was inevitable and the ‘enemy’ would be China. What he said back then has always stuck with me.
We enter wars for generally good intentions, often achieve our initial objectives but then it all goes downhill as we never seem able to plan an effective peace/exit strategy. What is most frustrating is that we have never learned from history and repeat our mistakes.
Soon the Taliban will take Kabul and the Afgans outnumber the Taliban and run away - FFS! Afgans need to make a stand and fight like men as why should the west fight their battles once again! Those soldiers who died - those parents must be thinking what the f uck was this for especially when its back to square 1!
I can see the dinghies trebling in numbers soon but these need to be turned back!
