Villa Twitter is full of kids who are recommending transfer they have made on Fifa or conspiracies about JT and Richard O'Kelly going because they knew we would struggle 🤡

We didn't miss Jack too much, we missed Ollie's work rate. Also that Sarr player for Watford was having a great day against Targett, but Young Ashley should have been doubling up on him.

Ings is clinical and Bailey looked really good

Wait til next week I front a full house at VP

Off the pace in the first half after Target exposed but an improved showing in the second. Traore I predict to have a big season and Baily looked good as well. El Gaz frustrates me no end. Can be brilliant one game and then vanishes. Expect us to bounce back against Newcastle. We definitely missed Ollies work rate.

I agree oz but how on earth do we fit them all in the 1st 11. I really cant pick a formation or a best 1st 11. I agree Traore should start but would Deano drop Buendier Ings Watkins or Bailey. This two up top is confusing because you have to drop someone from midfield who should start.

It's kind of the point that we can't fit them all in, building squad depth at long last and giving us options formation wise - games against newly promoted sides at the start of the season are awkward as ourselves and Arsenal found. There's a long long way to go and if for example as some have said they would bench Ings then I'd far rather he comes off the bench than Davis or Wes! Personally I'd start him every game if fit, he's as clinical as Kane I believe based on last season's stats.

Get the first eleven right is the main thing then having strength in depth is another. We got the first eleven wrong sat but was able to bring players on who almost grabbed a result from nowhere!
Knowing we always lose 3-0 to that bunch of Jokers, it being the first game and their fans up for it, we should have gone defensive for 45 mins then ware them down, bring on the impact players and 3 pts in the bag, simples!!

Speaking of fitting them in did anyone see the bench Man City had? An embarrassment of riches. Almost strangely grotesque.

All within FFP rules.....apparently. 🙄 Kane will be small change.
The world is so corrupt, I mean, with FFP just how can Barcelona be 1.2 billion in debt??

I'm probably in a minority of one here, but I find the idea of us bussing in all the best youngsters into our academy is going to lead to problems. There is just no-way we can accommodate all these great kids into our first team squad whilst we continue to load our squad with high quality buy-in 20 somethings. I'm sure it's a fairly astute business model for the club, but I worry about the cost to these young lads who don't make the transition, what happens to them? In the old system maybe one or two gems would sparkle within their small team environment, whereas with so many being at the Villa will leave a lot disappointed.

Just what Chelsea do, put them all out on Loan like they did with Tammy!
