I'm sure I'll end up watching it. The thing is I'm quite torn

I've really enjoyed watching the resurgence of the Hungarian national team over the past few years

It's been good seeing them qualify for tournaments again after many years of not doing so and also actually giving a reasonably good account of themselves.

I'd really like to see that continue so could quite easily find myself cheering them on tonight. which will seem a bit strange

I'll probably draw the line at draping myself in a Hungarian flag to go to the pub in

However why should I want to support England?

I was born in England but that's where the connection ends. No player from my favourite club is ever likely to play for England and those that do play are highly paid showponies from clubs that are effectively killing the lower leagues

Yes England did ok aided by some fortunate combinations of fixtures but as entertainment value they've been pretty dull.
I couldn't give a flying f if you watch it or not, but why do you feel the need to announce it as a badge of honour. I will be watching it. I don't think that I have I missed a minute of a live England game since I was 10 years old.

A couple of suggestions. Don't suck a lemon while posting, and stop pretending that you are on a higher intellectual plain, which clearly you aren't.

Seems obvious to me. I support two (just two) football teams: Rotherham United FC and England. One of my my teams is playing so I'll be watching/supporting.

Football is tribal. And I love and support my town and my country.

    I’m with you Grist.
Just switched on in time to see Grealish get clipped and go down banging the floor like he’s in the ring like Tyson. Load of bollax.

Same here but I care more about my club's results and performances than those of the national team. I always want England to win but it doesn't hurt as much when they don't if that makes sense
