Rather than go all "morally superior", just laugh at the sheer ridiculousness of a guy jumping up and down doing monkey chants. It's not like he was holding Sterling by the neck - was it?
The Hungarians do not have a colonial past and there is no migration here because after having a referendum in 2015 Viktor Orban sided with over 90% of the referendum vote and refused to accept migrants building a fence on the southern border to keep them out.We do not have all the problems associated with multi-cultural societies and the people rightly want to keep it that way.
There are only three instances when Hungarians take the knee according to Viktor Orban and they are when proposing marriage, to the national flag and to God full stop.Anything else is foreign to them and they take offence to being preached to by woke liberals because they can see through the scam.Politics has no place in Sport is their overriding opinion.
The whiteness you refer to is pleasantly surprising but that does not mean the population is racist. There are many cultures here. There is a massive Jewish population here with German and Slavik minorities in many towns and cities.Indeed there are many towns where the whole town or the vast majoerity speak two languages for instance German or Slovakian as well as Hungarian. There are also many far eastern people who have relocated here(Chinese and Vietnamese). The country and culture is based on Christian/Judean and they want to keep it that way.It is their choice and people should respect that.

Your right CIB , I have friends who had tickets who paid alot of money for them and weren’t allowed to watch the game at Wembley as access was a QR code on phones and gangs of thugs were taking photos of them and going in on other peoples - everywhere has racist - bigots - hooligans I’ve said many times it’s tribal you can’t escape it.

Just to put things into perspective. This was Dutch supporters in Budapest this Summer-all lining up and pissing on buildings in the city centre mid afternoon.

Following on from this the Hungarian supporters travelling to Munich to watch the Germany-Hungary match a few days later were stopped in their coaches at the German border, ordered to disembark and held for 3-4 hours whilst all were photographed like criminals by the German police.Following on from that a group of supporters were held in police cells in Munich for 3 weeks then released without being charged.

Therefore it is hardly surprising they have a chip on their shoulder at the hypocrisy shown by the authorities and of allowing politics into sport.

ITV actually had a reporter in the crowd behind the goal, his specific task to find evidence of racism. Nothing from him until the second half when he said he'd heard racist abuse directed at Sterling and Bellingham, right after the game they asked Harry Kane if he had heard any racist abuse directed at England players, 'No' he said.

    Seek and ye shall find.

After the vomit inducing behaviour of our own "fans" at the Wembley EURO Final, I hope FIFA conclude: "He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone."

Just one problem with that CiB : The English football team are not migrants. They do not want to emigrate there or even have holidays there. The game has been drawn there ,according to FIFA. The Hungarian people have to respect that. Plus the Hungarian Football Association should have known the reaction of the crowds, and withdrawn from International Football matches. Just as you say Politics has no place in sport, neither has racism. I am positive no Christian/Judean culture, or religion, would be shaken on a 90 min football game. Completely different are migrants coming through on your southern border, I fully understand that to protect Hungary from these migrants, a metal (electronic? ) fence has been built. But a football game of 90 mins ,that's in and out, before any Englishman can pronounce correctly, a word appearing on Sterlings shirt '' Szeretlek. '' This is in, the Ferenc Puskás Stadium, or formerly People's Stadium (Népstadion), not far away close to the Croatian border.

To be fair to Gareth, he did say something on these lines when asked about racism and the behaviour of Hungarian fans before the game. The sheer hypocrisy of anyone in this country calling for action against Hungary is mind-boggling.

You talk about the Hungarian people and respect Balan. This game was played in their country, our players have to respect that, but instead they showed a complete lack of respect by insisting on taking the knee, a gesture, as CiB points out, totally alien and provocative to the Hungarian people. They did not have to take the knee, they chose to, a decision which they knew was disrespectful and provocative to their hosts.
And then Sterling, after scoring, runs towards the Hungarian fans revealing a message in a foreign language to them, another disrespectful and provocative gesture towrds the country and people of whom he was a guest. Right at that moment I was thinking, 'WTF is he doing ?', and I was embarrassed to be English.

I know you'll be reading this CiB, and I would appreciate it if you would pass on an apology from me, on behalf of all decent Englishmen, to your Hungarian friends, for the behaviour of our players in their country. It was arrogant, disgusting and embarrassing.

I never said the English players were migrants Balan. The Hungarian fans never inferred that. But you have to understand why the Hungarians (and a lot of Burnley fans) boo the stupidity of taking the knee which has more to do with dividing people than helping to eradicate racism.
My comments about migrants were written to explain to BT the whiteness as he put it in Hungary.
The hypocrisy is unbelievable.Racism is not just against black people Balam. Before the England v. Italy final the English fans booed the Italian anthem then after losing the game proceeded to trash anything and anyone Italian. So going off your logic games against any foreign team should be banned in England?
The Croatian border is 200km away.
