Cautious yes, if they segregate standing although I'm too old to stand for 2 hours

I wonder how much work would have to be done to a stand? Good point UTM, the guidance for safe standing where there are seats is a max of 25°, the Kop is steeper than that. So would they have to take the seats out and put rails in?

If that's the rule, then we have a got a problem. Seems a daft rule though if there's no chance of anybody falling forward with a railing that would be presumably lower-chest high.
Hardy was very keen on the idea, the current owners may have other priorities but if it proves to be a success with the early adopters then other clubs will come under pressure to follow. Will be just typical if we're not allowed to do it over some arbitrary number. Surely it's far more dangerous on a steep terrace if there is only a seat preventing you from a nasty fall if you jump up and lose your footing.

That was in 2009, and for safe standing with seats; maybe things have changed now? I've just dug out an old document which has the gradients of all the stands on it.

Hope we can do it, I love standing.

All for it. It would be great if the Kop went standing, but as others have said, I doubt it’s suitable.

Looking at the images of various 'Safe standing' areas online with people leaning on them, they all appear to be lower than the old crush barriers were, more waist height than chest. Presumably this is so your view isn't impaired if spectators decide to be seated.
In this example they are especially low....

Maybe Notts could have higher rails without seats to pass H&S rules or just have high rails with seats and supporters accept that they won't be able to have a clear view if they decide to sit down.

It's a no from me. Keep the money in the tin Notts, save it for player acquisition. Unless, there's a humungous grant involved?
