eclipsing that of Manchester City & Paris Saint-Germain combined.
So major investment in Newcastle United on the horizon.

We have already Prince Abdullah Bin Mosa'sd Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud installed has owner of
    Sheffield United.
Then the Abu Dhabi group owning Manchester City.

    Finance in football -

Manchester City raised a $650m loan in July 2021, underwritten by Barclays, HSBC, & KKR Capital.

Barcelona raised a 525m euros loan in June 2021, underwritten by Goldman Sachs.
Newcastle United have new owners, after the Saudi Investment Fund Consortium, were given the
green light to buy the club.
Newcastle United fans outside St James Park celebrating the news.
Amounts of £150m said to be on the table for a January transfer window, while also watching the
    financial fair play rules.
At least the Saudi's will some money back off Mike Ashley, with all his advertising billboards
    around the ground.
What happens now with manager Steve Bruce, do the consortium stick with him, Bruce not had
a fair deal at Newcastle, with Mike Ashley not loosening the purse strings.

The Saudi Investment Group Consortium - PIF is majority partner, alongside
British based Reuben brothers & financier Amanda Staveley.
The premier league have received legally binding assurances, that the
Kingdom of Arabia will not control Newcastle United F.C.

I agree. If you don't give a toss for the things which are important for the continuity of a stable democracy supported by the majority, you end up with with evil regimes like Hitler, Putin, Bolsonaro, Xi Jinping and Johnson.

I did think about including him as he qualifies as a liar, but he was only a one-termer (even though he did win the last election! Allegedly).

The latest reports of what he was trying to do leading up to January 6th are hilarious (or frightening depending on which way you look at it).

    Thanks CAM.

This is scary and unbelievable in equal measure. I thought he would fade away following the post-election debacle, but my understanding is that he will return for another shot at being re-elected and given the gullibility of many Americans and the drop in Biden's popularity, has a good chance of fulfilling his ambition of becoming Putin's stooge.

What's this got to do with the Newcastle take-over?

    One comment from the BBC

"Gordon Simpson: Best thing to happen to the club since Bobby Robson was appointed. We've had 14 years of suffering and now if feels like we finally can lift our heads up and breathe. It's a huge relief. I don't care if they buy the best players in the world, I just want us not to be fighting to stay in the Premier League every year."

14 years? I've just looked in their Trophy Cabinet and apart from winning the 2nd Division and The Texaco Cup a couple of times I can't see anything in there from the past 50+ years. In fact I think Newcastle United have been a 'big club' all my life without ever winning anything. Actually I tell a lie, as I liked their kit as a kid I had a Newcastle United Subbuteo team and I think they won the league I played in with my cousins
