In my view the deal was passed because the pl knew they couldn’t allow arbitration to take place as it would publically expose the level of corruption they gave employed to delay this deal in the hope the Saudis would go away.

Too right. It looks to me like Masters, after bowing down to the big six for too long, finally took some responsibility for the position he holds. If I was being kind I’d say it’s because he finally ‘grew a pair’ but more likely it was a pure desperate move for self preservation.

Aye you're probably right toonlegend......the PL were asking for evidence at the arbitration hearing to remain private i believe

There’ll be Doctors, teachers, paramedics, people who’ve served to name a few respected professions with Toon affinity but this geezer has all of us as a bunch of scum
Not at all resentfull, I welcome any club that can ruffle the feathers of the top 4. I'm happy wuth our owners, they are pumping as much as they. Our owner who has a personal wealth of a miserly 12B, He will inherit his Fathers wealth having just past, that was 78B. It makes no odds thougj as FFP is the one to watch although we could both take a lesson from Citeh who know plenty of loopholes. Money can be spent a plenty, plans granted for redevelopment of VP to 60K. As I said its all going along well and now the same for you Toon fans. I'm sure the big names will come, just got to make sure you survive this season! Good luck lads, Enjoy the ride and ignore the jealousy coming from City and Utd fans.UTV

It’ll be class if we both get up to the top, if they’re whinging & whining now before a ball has been kicked, imagine what they’ll be like when the there’s a bit more competition for champions league places

Story doing the rounds that the Glaziers turned down a mega offer from PIF a few years ago, presumably thought they could sting them for a few quid more but they didn’t play ball. It sounds vaguely familiar from when this whole 18 month saga started with us. I hope our new owners are keen to stick one over those who’ve wronged them in the past!

    Couldn't care less. All noise.

Calling out the Super League is a fair shout. When they were willing to sell the entire Premier League down the river, the big boys didn't give a sh'it then. All of a sudden, it is all about "integrity".

We're in a competition and I missed the memo that said you've got to get your competitors to like you. Ridiculed for goodness knows how long... now some fortune comes our way and they're all up in arms. Suited them when Ashley and "deluded fans" were the narrative; now it can be something different, they don't like it.

Fu'ck 'em. If it doesn't work out for us in the end, they'll all be there to laugh at us. So just ignore either way.
