Fair play to em. The ironic thing is that they’d have had a better chance of getting out of League 2 spending that kind of money than the NL.

Yes indeed, there'd be no point posting some other football club's accounts as if they were Notts'.

(The original link was to the Companies House website too but direct to the document (hoping in vain to save you a step) but unfortunately the link has a time limit and the web token had of course expired.)

From a long term point of view I think we have the best owners in the division. I much prefer their style and I have a lot of respect for them. I hope they continue to show faith in us.

A serious chunk of change, we're lucky to have them.

Agree with everything said. It shows though how football has changed when £9m is seen as being careful in non-league.

Yup we've gone from not being able to pay the milk bill to surviving and being supported financially through covid. Quite the contrast.

The headline news from the Price of Football tweet was this:

"Notts County lost £2.2 million in 2020/21 taking total losses to over £21.6 million. Club did end season with cash in the bank. Disappointing that #Notts do not publish a P&L account to show impact of COVID on income."

On paper, that £21.6 million sounds horrendous and potentially life-threatening to the club. Can any accountants or financial experts out there offer any reassurance after looking through the accounts?

Perhaps someone can publish them here and a few can pass comment. The accounts of football clubs rarely look good to be honest. It doesn't concern me. A lot of it will probably be to do with loans and they are retained losses over a period of time. Probably a fair bit from the Hardy and Trew era.

What it does tell you is Hardy was telling pork pies or am I wrong? I’m sure he stated the club was virtually debt free and he hardly got anything for it, that certainly doesn’t stack up from this.
