This is a cursed fixture with all four games we've ever been due to play against Kings Lynn - home and away - PPd.
Both league games last season were postponed due to Covid whilst the FA Cup tie was called off and KL given a bye.

But it adds to the number of Tuesday-Saturday games we have to play, and it was one more game before Wootton potentially leaves. If it was a borderline call and we swayed it, I would be disappointed. Great opportunity today to move within 1 point of the top.

Somebody reckons it was Notts who were the most reluctant to play.
The head coach's interview should tell all in that regard.

I'd rather play them under normal conditions , decent pitch.

According to Charlie Slater the groundsman hasn’t been paid for 4 months.

In totally unrelated news, the owner is a massive Tory.

And an opportunity for players to be injured on what is clearly a pitch that’s unplayable. Then all of a sudden folk would be like ‘why have we played in that?’.
At the end of the day the referee has called it off. Not Notts. Not Kings Lynn.

Just turned up at the ground to be told that the game has been called off.

Completely unsympathetic to all the travelling supporters to cancel the game so close to kick off when so many of us have now had a wasted journey.

They should have just called it off at midday or 1pm.

    It's a very good point from 78.

For me if the game was away against one of the top sides I wouldn't be too bothered about playing on a swamp in a real battle of a game especially without Rùben.

However a game against a struggling side on a questionable and potential waterlogged pitch would be a big leveller and an unnecessary risk.

Now they’re not playing, the lads could have a Great Ouse up in the pub.
