Not necessarily, if the youngster being brought in is a striker! Tell me, why has he not played TGH who has been MOM in each of his appearances to date and you can be sure that Fellowes, who was excellent when he came on against Derby, will not be selected for the next game.

We don't have a striker available in the youth, under contract who is good enough. I know there is an argument for playing Cleary but there are very few clubs who would do this, even in our circumstances.

We used to say Jovan Malcolm was the next thing, he can't get in Accrington's side. We then said Callum Morton, he's struggling to score at Fleetwood. The point is the youth isn't always as good as we think they are.

TGH should be in, I agree. But again, he wouldn't change the fact that we aren't scoring. Good player though.

I think the problem is we gave a manager who has a very rigid and predictable style of playing .... and in short we’ve been worked out. Many of the recent games I’ve seen gave followed a very similar pattern .... we batter teams on the stats ... but they defend like hell and get players behind the ball. Then wait for a mistake. Whatever the commentators said .. Derby did not deserve to win yesterday they got very lucky.

I also think the genuine “nailed on must score” chances we are creating are very few .... regardless of the number of shots. Yesterday ... Robinson missed one when clean through, Hugill missed one but not easy, and Barts was denied by a great save. But that was about it. Been saying it since August .... we need a striker who can put the ball in the net.

Pity we didn’t get Wilder .... but he would have wanted to spend money .... that’s not something Lai is willing to do. Val has his faults for sure .... but I lay the blame for our current predicament squarely at our Chairman’s door.

Pretty well spot on, we create little in the way of nailed on chances and when we do we don’t have the finisher needed, I have also noticed this a lot that often when we put great crosses in no one is making the run and gambling on meeting the ball..

You are spot on there Barrera. Yes, we do have better figures regarding the stats. in most games but do we create that many gilt edge opportunities? I don't think that we actually do. This is why we need a proven striker in order that we can take the one or two good chances that we do create. Being statistacly on top doesn't equate to gilt edged chances.

We created 3 goals we should have scored against Derby, about 4/5 against Barnsley. We have the 2nd highest expected goals in the league only behind Fulham.

Lowest expected goals against in the league.

A couple of front men and we’ll start winning games.
