Couldn't strike a match that lad never mind start a fire with a Flint.

Had Johnstone kicked him he would have gone out of play! Pity he wasn’t so fast to react against Derby! For sure his reactions will be quicker to warm a bench in the Premier on more money as he’s not good enough to be a permanent number one! Ramsdale was purchased at a high price for a reason!

Flint was a dirty b*stard all game. How he finished the 90 without a booking was criminal. Robinson turned him in the first half in a great situation and he took him out but the ref gave nothing for it. Second half he dives in on Diangana through on goal and he didn’t go down but it allowed the other defender to catch-up. Two bookings at least.

    The ref had a stinker.

Nearly all defenders play like that, they do it because 9 times out of 10 they get away with it. They pick up the occasional booking and probably only serve one suspension in a season; sadly, the policy pays off.

Yes, the ref did have a stinker but so many are poor that his performance was probably his norm!

Seemed to me a poorly refereed game- but both sides might feel aggrieved. There is a difference between passion and stupidity however. Too many times lately there seems to have been a lack of discipline and it's not like we have a great depth of squad to weather the red cards we are picking up these days. You can debate our cast iron penalty claim or our own off side goal or whether the reds for Johnstone and Flint should have been yellows but at the end of the day the players and managers should show more proffesionalism because their uninhibited "passion" only costs us in the end.

I can't blame VI for showing passion.
What would Alex Ferguson have done had it happened to United?

Know what you mean-but sadly one rule for one another for others ( remember Fergie time too! &#128562 . Doesn't make Ferguson's behaviour right either though. I get the passion and tbh the fans should expect that, but also need to be a bit more mindful of the consequences of certain actions. Imagine your boss at work throwing his toys out every time things went wrong. Every right to feel aggrieved /angry about stuff but it's how you deal with that. Just my take on it though.

Read an old article about Sir Alex Ferguson on the BBC website the other day.

Apparently SAF had 17 touchline bans during his managerial career. No, I haven't checked to see if it was accurately reported.

Daresay we've got some supporters who'd have been unhappy with a trophy haul under SAF at Albion due to his lack of emotional resilience. Personally speaking I think I could have toughed it out.

I suppose I'd best be off to check my moral compass before someone actually suggests it. Tara a bit Des', I could be gone for a while 😊 .
