Djokovic is being held in an inner north Melbourne hotel while he awaits a court challenge to his visa cancellation.

The case is set to be heard on Monday.

The hotel is also used to house asylum seekers, and Serbia's foreign ministry has called on the federal government to give Djokovic better accommodation.

I hope that’s the case Dubs as one report was he was in his rented out house and needed to stay there according to his agent due to having a tennis court!

He should be treated no different than a back packer or surfer in my view!

Oh dear, a super rich sports mega star having to slum it in an ordinary hotel along with peasants; doesn’t one’s heart bleed for him, not. I’m not a tennis fan at all, don’t like the game, so I don’t know what sort of bloke he is but he is coming across as someone with a sense of entitlement mixed with arrogance; probably much like many other so called stars.

I also read today that Christiano Ronaldo has threatened Man.Utd with walking out if the new long term manager isn’t someone that he approves of! How rude of Utd not to get on their knees to consult God himself.

Morning Al', I hope that you are well. One thing about this really surprises me.

None of the physically fit professional tennis players in your immediate social circle dropped dead the instant they were vaccinated.

Probably researched things for themselves and chose to opt out of having one as is their right of course.

Happily relieved yet equally stunned. All of the best to Mr. D who according to the pop up on my phone has just tested positive.

    Anyone for tennis 😊 ?

Edit: Mr. D's lawyers are arguing his case by saying he tested positive in December. Suppose I should have clicked onto the pop up notification. Probably would have done if I was overly bothered 😊 .

Don’t know the travel rules for Australia but in almost every other country including the USA a person not vaccinated can travel if they can prove they had Covid within a 90 day window whilst triple vaxed people still had to pay for expensive tests.

So some young people not vaccinated or don’t want to get vaccinated but want to travel would be pleased at getting Covid! There’s usually logic in any motive.

Apparently after he was positive confirmed by his lawyers the next day he was in photos with youngsters. If so - he should go on trial like that Scottish MP!

I'll be disappointed if he is allowed to play in the Australian Open. It was very significant that the 'family' press conference was terminated as soon as a reporter asked if he had attended an event on the day after he had received notification of a positive Covid test. In other words, guilty as charged! If the Australian authorities do deport him it will be for three years. Let's hope they are as tough as they have the reputation for being.
