A Wood type player, wouldnt go amiss at ER -at least Newcastle are actively signing players, who are ready to play in the Prem, we seen happy to let our squad get even smaller ( Drameh )

If you can get a set of 'socket spanners' for any trade-in then my 'sis Mischka & me sure need our water pump personally attending to.

[Our garden fountain kaput & requires new nozzle Mrs B] !

On Chris Wood prior & now.
Cons - Holding onto ball & passing poor, defending contribution poor at best, no pace.
Pro's- Heading ability decent, winning physical ariel-duels decent & decent right foot.
For me, a 'sober' Andy Carroll style/type who often drifted out of games for us.
    £25 million

Part of the problem we had when Wood was with us was the collection of players we had were often suited to different styles of play and struggled to gel (or in some cases just weren’t very good). We often played such a mixed style which didn’t really suit him but he had that season where he scored some worldies.

Burnley playing like Burnley seems like a perfect match for him so surprised Eddie Howe has gone in for him as he doesn’t seem to be his sort of player.

£25m - wonder if Burnley will go in for Brereton Diaz to replace him and surprised Newcastle didn’t go after him or someone decent from Europe.

As you know I'm across the pond. Have some exposure to UK English through work (Lloyds) as well as football. I also understand proper Grammar and the "queens English". I also understand that if we talking the sandy beach on Kentucky Lake I'd have to translate some of the conversation from "Southern Redneck" to UK English.

However, I really don't understand the above! The pic is blocked by our virus filter so that might have added some context.

Think this is a very good bit business on Burnley's part. $20 million is a lot.

Wood was not a big threat in either of our games this season. some other players much better. They have to hope they have someone in the academy that can step in.

I think she is looking for an open-ended wrench set (didn't specify whether metric or imperial) to fix her squirty water feature.

    Or something like that.

(It took me a long time to understand that no one knows what a "spanner" refers to here in the US!)
