As for Marcus Smith he is a special talent , but don’t go overboard beating the Italians. Come back on here if and when you’ve beaten Ireland and France. Then you’ll get some respect.
I wasn't asking for respect Mal, simply pointing out that it was more enjoyable watching England beat Italy, than watching our lads grinding their way to an inevitable defeat against Liverpool. But since you mention respect, I will also point out that those glory days of Welsh rugby, Barry John, JPR, Gareth Edwards etc. are long gone. Since 1990 England and Wales have met 42 times, the score, England 29 wins, Wales 13 wins. In that time England have won the World Cup, and appeared in four finals, Wales have yet to make the final.

    Just saying like.

Are they actually playing now Alf, it's bit too cold and wet for them in February isn't it ?

I am well connected in the Principality BT, some of my best friends are Welsh. One of them works for the Welsh Government, speech writing, PR, that sort of stuff, and she's a personal friend of Alun Wyn Jones. Who, by the way, is also one of the best rugby players I've ever seen, the nearest you'll ever get to a one man rugby team. If only he'd been English.

Very enjoyable, especially watching the unfolding genius of Marcus Smith, the boy wonder.

am heartened you enjoyed what remained of that afternoon - Sinkov, as it took me some good air....fine nosh, a tipple and an interesting read until I felt somewhat recovered....though, I have to say...,the distress of play was such that even the thought of another 90mins of hideous tribulation fills me with a dread that not even old nick himself could muster up.

Seriously guys the only teams that presently play football to die for are Manchester City and on current form Southampton and Wolves. I've started tuning in to their games to watch the beautiful game being played in all of its glory.

The memory of watching Burnley and Watford play out a 0-0 draw will live long in my memory for the sheer cringe-worthiness of its mediocrity. The lack of quality was embarrassing and I'm not sure the reason for it was age related either sinkov.

I still shudder when I think about our 5-0 thrashing at Oxford in the 90's, not one of my best away days. What was our most embarrassing match? Separate thread?

Me too. I took my son to that game. I walked out and heard the 5th go in when we were outside the ground. Paul Moody came off the bench and scored a hattrick in 15/20 mins.
