I love a good storm, I just wish I was down in Cornwall by the sea, Mawgan Porth will be an epic place to be tomorrow.

F u c k it, I might just drive down in the morning for the Hell of it!
I hope you would be sensible enough not to take any chances close to the sea Mick. I see loads of ****s on the promenade at Folkestone being stupid and thinking that the waves will not effect them. They are so thick by underestimating the force of the sea when it crashes over the promenade. They risk their own lives but more importantly they risk the lives of others who would be expected to try to save them. The sea will always win!

    Apologies, wrong link

Did you know that now the Met office can actually give you a day off simply by issuing a red warning! How amazing. If people haven't had enough days off through stupid covid testing. I daresay this will be the way of the world in a few years when areas of Britain will have air raid sirens which go off when a strong breeze comes along or a bit of pollution and people will be forced to remain home on the grounds of safety/climate change. Just another conspiracy theory I suppose.

Red Warnings...so what exactly is "essential" travel then? Does it include going to work or is it travel only if you have a life threatening emergency? perhaps I'll chance it and phone in and tell work the Met office have advised me not to travel so I'll take a day off and see if they pay me😀! (on a serious note, I no longer risk driving to work in really bad winter weather conditions these days because I'm pretty sure my company ain't going to pay if I damage the car or injure myself. I hate to feel I let people down and it might be different if I had a 4X4 but I dont. Have always struggled in before even if it's taken me about four times longer but then I get there after travelling 25 rather stressful miles and find that all those who live around the corner haven't come in because of snow or whatever and they could have walked! )
