Can we please stop blaming Eric. It's his lad who's to blame.![]()
DERBY its a horse race init, ask gru his opinion.
Well one title I posted about Derby County - could they go into Liquidation, was not far off.
But they didn't though. The efl gave the owner of Bury extention after extention to prove he had the funds to meet the agreed terms of the cva. He couldn't do it, but they gave him enough chances. Derby are fulfilling their fixtures and it looks likebtheres hope so why kick them out. I can't see a reason to dock further points as they haven't committed an additional offence.
If they don't pay the inland rev in full, like everyone else has to that stinks, but it won't be the efl that makes that rule. They should have to pay football creditors in full because that's the only rule the efl can enforce. But for now I think the efl have behaved as well as they can

But at least the new chairman who took over in December 2018 at Bury, paid the HMRC the outstanding tax bill
in January 2019 to avoid Bury having a winding up order.
Not forgetting revenue difference between Bury & Derby County.
Derby County have not paid their tax bill, why haven't the HMRC threatened them with a winding up order,
the tax bill owed while Mel Morris in charge at Derby County.
Why have they not committed an additional offence, they have gone over the deadline given by the EFL, who
gave them a month's extension, but still can't or won't comply.
The EFL has bent over backwards to help Derby County.
EFL now said calls & e-mails to the administrators of Derby County Quantuma,
have not been answered.
Today Quantuma have said that they have enough money to cover costs of running
Derby County to the end of March 2022.
EFL wanted guarantee's that there was money to cover costs of running the club to
the end of the 2021-22 season.
Been reported today that Derby County, turned down a bid for club captain Tom Lawrence
in the January transfer window, from AFC Bournemouth & QPR, the bid being £2m rising
to £3m.
With Tom Lawrence's contract up at the end of the season, been reported that not accepting
the offers was stupid by the club.
Tom Lawrence can walk away from the club for nothing, so money lost by Derby County.
