    Playoffs yes, but promotion has always been a big ask with there being several better resourced clubs in this league and only two promotion places. Perhaps we should concentrate on winning the FA Trophy - a significant consolation prize?

    No, just get through the quarter finals and loose away in semis with a typical lack lustre performance and IB saying pitch not the best and we struggled against the high press and big men in our box for set pieces.

    Law of averages, statistics and our past history tells me no if I had to put money on it. That's the safe bet.

    That's why it has to be a no from me. I would rate the percentage chances at 25% for 2nd and 3rd, 15% for 4th and 5th, and 10% for 6th and 7th. If we managed to finish 2nd or 3rd I might be more optimistic, but I can't see us doing any better than 5th. It's also worth bearing in mind that in the current PPG table we are only 8th, so even the playoffs aren't assured. Grimsby's recent recovery means that realistically 9 teams are in with a chance, so we can't afford a dip in form.
