Generally fall into the "happy clapper" category but also am pragmatic.

The loss today is much more signficant than a 3 point failure. The first game sets the tone. Just like Stoke set MB's tenure in motion this one sets the tone for the rest of the season. A loss here indicates we'll be "close" on our games but will fall short. The opposite of MB's start. Stoke at home were even more favored by the bookies than this game but we came out and destroyed them.

I think that goal relegates us. I know that it's only one game and we looked way better than the last 4 games but it's still a loss and losing is just as contagious as winning. Kasper had a brilliant game but we still missed quite a few sitters. Joffy and Raph were AWOL we were also very unlucky on Firpo's shot which was deflected.

Meslier has one shot to stop each half and only stops 1 of them. He started to believe he was a world class keeper. If he wants to see what the is he should be looking across the pitch at Kasper. Dallas was torched all day. They basically ran by him at will. He didn't even come back when Barnes got by him. They didn't even test the other side since they could move it down at will on the right side. Ayling did well but he is adventeresome so he really needs someone on his outside that can shut down his player.

we can't head a ball on goal to save our life. The one header on goal today looked like an accident from a pretty steep angle from Koch. .

I have no clue what Forshaw is doing on the bench. Have no clue why Roberts was subbed in and have no idea what the happy clapper celebration on the pitch after we lost a crtical game. F8ck that noise.

I think that Burnley will squeak it out. It's down to whether Brentford do worse than us the rest of the season.

Appears the homers at the FA somehow missed a hand ball on VAR. Saw a clip on some gambling website showing the no called penalty.

Not that I should be surprised but maybe a weeks pay taken from the VAR official may make them a little more diligent on their job.

I think he accidentally submitted one of Bielsa's old team sheets - it still has James up front ???

Forshaw only on the bench - despite being one of best performing players at the moment.

Good to see Barndoor named but he will probably injure himself getting onto his seat.

Hmmmn I have the let’s face the music and dance tune going through my head - especially the there may be trouble ahead line.

    That midfield looks concerning.

Short memories, I remember when MB took charge back in 2018
First game at home to STOKE - just relagated, stuffed them 3-1 SAME players as previous 13th position season, and we all know where that led - we where so so so unlucky today!
Should easily have had a point, but the old problem of not taking our chances cost us yet again
BUT - We will still get the 12 to 15 points needed I am certain of that.

Good start performance wise, need to start scoring and to get Rapha looking like he gives a s hit to survive IMO

At least they haven't just brought back one of the best strikers in the Premiership who has been out injured for ages and scored midweek. Oh wait .........

At least we don't have a leaky defence. Oh wait ...................
