What changed me, was the care home fees we paid for Mom and Dad who sat next to people who had hid all their savings.
My accountant used to say why are declaring all your cash jobs, I said I have been brought to to be honest.
Now if can save £40 on a service I would rather give my nieces than the taxman. It's wrong but I no longer feel guilty.
    I agree.

It’s getting harder and harder to get rid of cash now.

Most people don’t want it because you can’t buy anything big with it.

I’m doing a house purchase at the moment and you now have to prove where every penny comes from.

Money laundering rules are so tight now, you have to produce a statement showing where all the funds for the purchase are stored and showing where those funds have arrived into the account from for many months previous.

It’s becoming a nightmare to transact property.

Starting to annoy me as I go into a certain bank and withdraw cash from cashiers desk and get asked every time - why do you need it. I was in a bad mood a few months ago and told the cashier to politely mind her own business. Never get asked now as any of the three cashiers know they will get a mouthful!

Nosy bitches though! If I wanted a transfer I would ask for one but if I want cash don’t expect to be quizzed!

Wish I hadn’t told my missus about this thread. She insisted on making 4 online purchases last night just in case!

Seems from press reports it is just problems foreigners trying to use the cards on Russian territory or Russians using their cards overseas.
