Hard not to agree with BS . Attrocities continue to take place across the globe whether that be the Chinese attitude to Turkic Muslims or Mongolians, the repressions in Venezuela, the Saudi operations in Yemen, the continuing conflict between Israel and Palestine, the breaches of human rights across much of Africa or the mounting violation of these rights in India or Pakistan.

It is clear that the above mostly involve non-white and poor victims and certainly the West seems to have more sympathy for what is going on in Ukraine because of its proximity-both geographically and culturally. The simple reason is that events in Ukraine and Russian aggression impact far more directly on the UK, NATO and the West than the others.

The truly sad thing is that, whilst the end of the Cold War lulled many Western countries into a 30 year old period of growing stability and prosperity, this was blatantly not true for much of the rest of the world. Wars and violence driven by religious differences or the need for power and territory raged on with some ruled by dictators or paranoid and psychopathic leaders.

As a species, many in the more developed and prosperous nations may have felt we have moved on but sadly we have not. Ironically, even the "free" and democratic countries get into bed with very unsavoury regimes for selfish reasons such as oil or other natural resources. As Jarvis sang: "c u n t s are still running the world"

Bottom line: we can be better than this but it's the old nature v nurture argument. Some are simply born bad or psychopathic whereas growing up in poverty and conflict warp the behaviour of others.

Is it down to boundaries of continent? After all those are clearly defined borders that we as humans should stick too aren’t they?
Or is it due to people looking similar to the majority?

    Funny isn’t it ?

But it’s not that anyone sees colour or that brown n black peo0e get treated differently is it ?
I mean how dare they expect equality coming from the s h i t holes they do

I blame the footballers that take a knee every Saturday

A totally different scenario. Ukraine is a European country that shares many of it's culture and religion with other European countries. The closest to them is Poland who have agreed to take four million Ukrainians for starters.
Middle Eastern countries have different laws and religions, treat women like dogs, and demand not request for things. I was brought up to be polite not an ignorant chauvinist.
When these eastern people settle here they aren't grateful, they demand their own laws, their own customs, their own "communities", which in effect become no go areas for everyone else.
Refugees should seek asylum in countries that are sympathetic to their customs, not travel half way around the world to one they despise, and then try and implement their own ideas and beliefs on it.
