I can't speak for him but agree the plan is simplistic.

The team he inherited only played one way and that was attacking football. wonderful to watch but other teams figured it out.

It also didn't help we lost our star players to injury most of the season. Did not re sign Alioski who had an outsized impact on this team with his heart and intensity and we ended up with a club house lawyer in our star player from Brazil. Our team also aged a lot. Not as much in their actual age as the wear and tear over 3 hard years of training at the highest level. Klich, Dallas, Cooper, Phillips and Bamford have a lot of cumulative wear on them and never were regularly rested. The small squad really hurts late in our second season in the prem as well as 2 very hard campaigns in the championship.

Our best chance will be to hold down goals and hope that some balls bounce our way. That translates into very simple play this late in the season. Wwe looked very good against Leicester and played well the 1 st half of AV. AV is in form. a lot better than the record indicates. Norwich.... not so much.

The Norwich game is truly a must win. Lose that and just start negotiating on getting the most our of our star players money wise in the off season.

About time we started to get a little more rub of the green - reffing decisions, hitting posts and bouncing out, injuries etc - a couple of goals off someone’s arse type of luck wouldn’t go amiss.

The idea of big squads is to not tire players out as we all know especially England has been a huge league there are games left right and center.MBs idea of a small squad and the way he trains and plays something had to give. As we know injuries palling up players tired as f.
It is an ambitious plan which is not capable for the human body. Hence results in him not winning anything as it is not humanly possible.
On the other side if we were a big squad club do you trust the idiot in charge with it ORTA?

I always assumed Corberan (if he did well at Huddersfield) would be a natural successor, as it happens it might turn out he will be passing us on his way up.

Best case if we go down is that Huddersfield don't get promoted, Marsch leaves and we can give Corberan the chance he deserves

And therein lies the rub. We didn't, and no side ever does, no matter what league or division they play in, suddenly gets "bad".

The players are the way we win, or lose, they are the ones who translate practice into practicality, who make real the things that are rehearsed. Not the owner, not the CEO, not (even), the DoF or the coach, all of whom (should) add value and contribute, and no matter who is the coach, manager, whatever, the innate skill and talent of the players remains. THEY bear the responsibility for win/draw/lose, as THEY are the only ones ever to touch the ball, contest possession with the opponent, smell the mown grass, celebrate or commiserate with the supporters who PAY THEIR WAGES!

Don't care (now) who manages the team, care only what they, the players, do. They don't need fancy tactics to know what to do, just f00king compete, run, charge, make the opposition feel they are in a fight, nothing else matters, just bleed Leeds like every supporter who stands at ER bleeds Leeds,
