You may mock comrade Bongo but this is what we need to step up to the next level. Just two 50 mill players defensive midfielder and A striker. We are turning our squad into 50 mill players so why not?
    Martynez 60 mill
    Cash 50 mill
    Mings 50 mill
    SJM 70 mill
    Watkins 50 mill

Players we have in the 30 plus region
    Digne
    Konsa
    Luiz
    Ramsey
    Ings
    Bruendia
    Bailey

So if we want to improve, it has to be 50 mill...

Tim Iroegbunam (18) has just signed till 2027, brilliant news. Another Great Barr lad and product of the Olbyun academy. Could the manager nurse him into a DM? He certainly has the physique.

I only see Em1 in the over 50 mil bracket, and certainly not Matty Cash. 25mil max, else we’ll be holding up stagecoaches next.

I agree that we'll need to sign players of greater stature than what we have, hopefully, we will be a slightly more attractive option, this summer.

Not MaGinn? Cash subject a 40 mill off in Jan we would want more. If Maguire can fetch 85 mill then 50 for Mings is not out the question, Brighton also got 50m for White. If Arsenal want Watkins the surely the price starts at 50?? What we paid is not what we sell for...

The offer from Atletico for Cash was rumoured to be 30 million Euros.

McGinn up to £50m, depending on his present contract length.

Re Maguire, I would rate Mings above him. However, as you pointed out, it’s a player's worth now, not what you once paid. Maguire would not fetch a quarter of £85m now. Mings? £45m tops.

Ollie? Get what we can. We’d be pulling someone’s pants down for £50mil.

Still, we mugged Citeh over Jack, maybe arsenal, urinal, and the jawdees, will chuck some cash at us.

I would buy courtino and bring Jack back for 50m. Then buy a defensive mid and a center back better than we currently have.

Jack ain't coming back Bong, he's a brand and once he's finished at City he will end up in the MLS.

Nakamba was doing really well in the DM position and he's back in training, there aren't many around in the mould of Declan Rice so I'd see what we can get out of him in the next few games. If he can prove himself then that frees up cash to spend on other positions, whilst Gerrard will have pulling power, the teams competing higher up the league are a bigger pull.

I have serious doubts about the tactical nous of SG after yesterday's debacle. The definition of stupidity is to make the same mistake and expect a different outcome... The two tens didn't work three weeks ago and still doesn't work now. I was filled with dread when the team was announced yet all other fans on twitter welcomed it. It wasn't working after ten minutes... SG should have changed it then. Instead he carried on until 68 minutes...Why? Bringing Traore and Bailey on was tactically inept. We needed to change the midfield. I would have took jj off and brought on Sanson, Buendia off for Ings. Tighten up the back and free space in the middle to allow Coutinho the room to be effective. If I can see this why can't they?
