The moral of the story is that keyboard pundits know jack s**t

It is also interesting to note we have also won both our away games that Arter has been involved in. This has been our Achilles heel this season, so it would be nice to think Arter has made the difference. Early days I know but long may it continue anyway. From a personal point of view, he has not made the noticeable difference I thought he would, but maybe it is the pointing and shouting that has the desired effect 😉.
I think Arter has made a difference but I also think playing a more solid midfield with three central midfielders rather than two and a winger out of position along with two proper centre halves rather than one and a pair of full backs has made us a lot more solid.

    Probably this^^^^^^^

I'm hoping now we are controlling the midfield a little more, than before and winning more of the 50:50s.

Agree a out the defence, fine with one versatile player (full back) playing in a back 3 but not 2. Chicksen + Brindley maybe comfortable on the ball but we needed different attributes far more.

Eli Sam has been out in the cold under two managers and the best part of a season and a half. I’m not sure it was just ‘keyboard pundits’ who didn’t rate him, and those managers also saw him in training…

Arter was great against Bwood, but a bit disappointing against Chessie. I didn’t see the Southend game but think our new defensive solidity is more down to Rawlinson and DKE tbh.

Oh yes watching lots of games over lots of years, gotcha. Maybe on that basis our next manager should be a Notts fan who collects a pension
