Lai - Gourlay - Bruce - 90% of the Players

I’ve supported this team for 60 years. I saw the writing on the wall once Pulis arrived……I’ve not been since. I miss it greatly but this club will not get my pension money until there is a clear out from top to bottom.
A succession of poor managers; a quick look at the Newcastle forum on Bruce revealed that the view was he’ll win the odd game then draw and loose……see that pattern repeating itself here? He’s a has been that never was over the last few years. If he stays expect more of the same.
Peace prophesized mid table Championship; it’s come to pass.
If you think the 1990s were bad we’ve seen nothing yet with this lot. I can not see us in my lifetime escaping the mediocrity currently served up as football; the club is a shambles from top to bottom!

Professional footballers, not up to playing on a Wednesday and Saturday? Really?

I think it was Sunday, Wednesday, Saturday but your point is appropriate. It does though I think contribute to how little work is done with the players between games. More rest time than prep for the next one I suspect.

They should be fit by now though so I would have thought not a lot to be done on fitness levels just preparation, debrief and pre-brief.

Having said all that still should be able to put in a performance with what is at stake for them, let alone us. Surely the players want to be part of the play offs but maybe I am being a bit presumptuous and they lack m it in as well as skill.
