I’ve thought about this and motivation is really Sean s forte , but the more I think about it if you have pretty much the same crop of players for extended periods ( years ) , how can you shout motivate change when they have played the system and importantly heard everything you’ve said before for several seasons.

Most top level football clubs change managers in a cycle and importantly players in the same sort of cycles so it doesn’t get a chance to become like we are now.

Ie , the players have played this way and heard everything that Dyche has to say hundreds of times over previously so the pattern hasn’t / won’t/ can’t change as He’s flogging a dead horse , in that he can’t change anything tactically or what he says - So it becomes Stale.

Imo anyway , the players have to change or the manager has to change , commendable it’s might be 10 years but it’s flat and we’re only dropping stuck
On a hamster wheel we can’t get off.

This happend to Wenger at Arsenal ( different level to us I accept) never the less he outstayed his welcome.
