There were some good posters. I met Wolvesgirl when she came in the Sportsman with her fella, also had the pleasure of meeting the sadly missed Uncle Steve and was friends with him on FB.
There was a railway enthusiast, was that Dorset wolf?
I miss Tundra and the wildlife stories and photos. Another one gone to soon.
Greavsey always made me laugh with his doodles. Wolves 71, Plater, Passion, Broadlane wolf, all decent blokes.
    Mick's favourite was Chimplad.
I suppose most use the FB banter boards now.
I hope I am remembering this correctly…maybe one of the Wolves will confirm…
Tundra died sometime ago. He was a school teacher and we occasionally ‘linked up’ via Skype (shows how long ago that it was!) He lived in Canada so we had some mutual interests.

Who was the overseas guy (a farmer?) with tales of snakes etc. Was it Thai baggie ?

    Yes Paul, it was ThaiBaggie.

He’d purchased one of them young Thai brides and was living deep in the wilderness subsistence farming, a very funny and interesting chap.

It speaks to the inevitable when someone like him suddenly stops posting.

Sad that we never find out about the passing of a good number of people on here, if you remember, it took me a fair amount of investigative work to track down the son of WBA53 last year and then discover he’d died from cancer.

I remember Trochtova, he had some mental health issue but gave old Carolgees a real run for his money when he was ruining the forum with his rantings, it must be five years since we heard from Troch and I fear he’s no longer with us.

One of the reasons I think it’s good to have a Facebook mate or two from the forum is so that at least people will know when I croak.

I can imagine the thread when it’s announced that I’m dead, people will be hunting the bunting and party emojis!

Yes Thaibaggie. As I recall he moved there for health reasons. He has been silent for years but with Leopard's and Tigers prowling and scorpion's in his boot's I'm not sure if it was the healthiest place to go.
I hope he got fed up with the board or is having trouble getting on, I hope it's not for another reason.

Barlickbaggie had health problems and has been gone years, I think we can only assume the worst there.😥

I have six friends on FB who have passed away in the last three and a half years.

It’s quite sobering to see your dead friends profiles on FB Des.

It’s like text messages from old friends who have died, I have a couple still on my phone, one from a lady I was friends with who had no idea she’d be dead a day or two later.

It’s spooky to look at stuff like that and to realise how tenuous the life/death link is.

Albion fan and SKY darts and speedway commentator Nigel Pearson dropped dead at 52 on Friday, totally out of the blue.

Any of us could be next, apparently, Covid illness leaves you with a 2.5 increased chance of dying from a heart attack.

I did a 4 1/2 mile walk on Friday for the first time since having Covid and I was wheezing like an old man.

    I could be next!

Prando, you are correct, Tundra passed away at least a three years ago. I met him a couple of times when he came over to watch games. A really nice guy. One you would look up to, well he was about 6ft 6ins tall. Chimplad and him would have made a good pair of second row forwards.

Thanks for getting the winner yesterday, I had a wager on you to win.

I never went on your sh itty board, and it was your lot obsessed with us then.

One in particular who created several usernames, one of which was Newcy Wolf I think, who spent his entire pathetic life on here.

Enjoy your moment in the sun, let's hope it is short lived.

But, I am getting on a bit now so can you remind me the last time you beat us?

Isn't it weird, havent looked at this board for a very long time, then one night this week thought about it for the first time in years and lo and behold there's my name being linked to the obituaries section lol....well,reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated.........just too damn busy these days and tbh fell out of love with the professional game. Watch local grassroots games quite a bit, my son is a first team coach at a Northwest Counties Premier league side and a couple of the grandsons show great promise so still get a regular fix. Hope you and yours are well Des, you never know, might visit again soonat some point to annoy and irritate

You don't know how happy I am to see you are still with us Barlick. Well done to your lad. I gave up my season ticket eight years ago because I had fallen out of love with the modern game.
I have been thinking about going to see Stourbridge for a few years now, the bus that runs by us stops outside the ground, and then drops off right outside my local.
