I agree with you, CIB. Cornet is not the player he was when he arrived. Weghorst, second leading scorer behind Lewandowski is devoid of confidence.

The “Burnley Way” has affected them negatively. Hopefully they will now be free to play their game, not Dycheball.

JayRod is a great person but from a different era, as is Barnes. I am sure that Vydra’s confidence has been destroyed, sitting on the bench whilst others were preferred who failed to score! I think that he offers pace and could be a significant asset if given the game time to rebuild. He has pace and has scored some good goals.

Then there is youth. The U23s have been scoring goals for fun. Any potential there to exploit with the youth of Roberts, Collins, McNeil, Taylor, Brownhill,Cornet and Weghorst?

As with any aging team, we have to transition.

Yes I watched the U23`s trounce Newcastle 5-1 they looked handy.Surely they need to be given a chance at some stage. Now is probably not the right moment but early next season maybe-especially if we are relegated.

If Weghorst and Cornet can somehow quickly get their mojos back (like this Sunday!) we might yet stay up.
