I expect that the reality is that Bruce is operating within strict financial limits and those are not necessarily the decisions that would make for the best footballing outcome. Only an idiot would take Zohore over Carroll and you would be stupid not to retain Clarke’s services but it’s all about spending as little as possible even if the resultant product is unattractive. The owner is clueless and so are the board, either that or they are too spineless to stand up to Lai and demand better. Surely Bruce isn’t so short of a few bob that he needs to kowtow to Lai and Co?

Not sure about Farke, he done well at one club, but lost 15 games on the trot in the premier league, which is a record. Bruce has a much better record than that. I haven't much confidence in Bruce but let's not get rid of him for someone worse.
We should have got Wilder when he was ready to sign and before Lai vetoed it.
Wilder probably showed a bit of ambition in his interview.

I agree. There is little value in sacking Bruce, unless there is a proven better manager available and willing to join us.
Also let’s not forget how the inexplicably disgruntled players (!) have forced head coach dismissals in the past.

Does anyone think that those with any say in what the club does read forums like this? If they do, they don't appear to take much notice and must think that we are a bunch of plebs and don't know what we are talking about. Well, I've got news for them, we do know what we are talking about and all of us can't be wrong. To be honest, I don't think that there is a great deal of football knowledge in the higher enchalons of this club and there lies one of the problems. Mind you, I did say one of the problems.

I'm becoming less and less keen on Bruce taking us on next season, but to be fair to him Big Sam didn't get a tune out of us until he bought three players in the January window. Newcastle improved under Bruce when he loaned Willock to get some speed in the middle. I certainly think that Bruce is coming out with the right narrative around what we need.

I have a feeling he will improve the side but not know how to wield it to it's potential when he does...but improving the side is paramount.

Thing is proven managers tend not to show any interest in a vacancy if there's already someone there! Bruce will lead us to relegation next season - anyone must need sectioning if they feel Livermore, Bartley, Mowatt, Furlong, Robinson, Grant will come good next season. Sawyers is slower than Livermore and lazy - Phillips loves the treatment room and Zohore is like an old nag that needs putting out of its misery. Reach is a league 1 player too!

Klopp could not improve the squad we have and Bruce is bigging it up about Button signing! Who gives a flying f uck if Button signs or not as he's hardly a point of differentiation.

Bruce needs to go but hey he's mates with Gourlay so he won't be sacked until at least December of which another season will be wasted. The three teams coming down will hammer our present squad!
