Glad to see you agree. Just as I said, they don't pay nothing

The other thing is the role of our fans at home. Lets be honest, we have been shyte poor at times particularly when playing teams with little support or those at the bottom of the league. How much difference did our fans make to the score line v Oxford and Ipswich when they really started getting behind the team. We need to do this every game next season. It wont enable us to win all our home games admittedly but I would guess it could give us at least another 7 or 8 points. That could be vi tal to us staying up.

Also we are still crying out for our own song. I'm not even bothered what it is . It could be Nelly the elephant for all I care! Something that is uplifting and a song everyone knows.
New York, new york still hasn't taken off and I'm still not sure all fans know all of the words anyway. Try summat else then. Any ideas on here?

We have to do our bit as fans as well.
Totally agree. The singing/backing from the home crowd was pretty poor most of this last season. I normally sit in the east stand at the north end. You can usually hear the away fans, even when they're not very numerous.

For the Charlton game I had to sit in the east stand near the away supporters, and the volume of noise from the north end was very disappointing. Could it be the design of the acoustics? Or is it that we can't sustain loud noise for more than two verses of "c'mon you reds"?

I don't suppose our home crowd is anymore negative than the average crowd, but there are some miserable buggers who seem to relish having the opportunity to moan.

Let's hope that we start next season with the volume turned up to 10 and the negativity turned down to 0.

I've always thought a modified version of New York Groove by Hello would be an ideal song for our crowd to sing.
