Notts have a lot of support in the Beeston area, any potential move would have to be to that area.

Leaving Meadow Lane would be the beginning of the end I think
Stay or move to Burton Joyce 👍

Meadow Lane is Notts County's home, and at various stages both County and Forest fans have opposed proposals to build new a stadium, especially if it involved sharing. Derek Pavis deserves credit that when he modernised Meadow Lane, he insisted on a design that retained some individuality, with the recreation of the gable and flag pole, and the inclusion of those distinctive towers on the Pavis Stand. Unlike other modern stadia, ours is still distinctive and remains at the site where we've played for most of our history.
I'm surprised how many smaller clubs get tempted to move out of town, apparently forgetting that their support-base often comes from the fairly immediate vicinity of their ground. I was disappointed when Boston United moved from York Street out to the sticks. If you're Manchester United you could build a stadium almost anywhere and fill it, but if your support-base is truly local, say in a town like Mansfield, it makes sense to play within that community.
Anybody who has visited the Deva Stadium at Chester would concur. Nothing spells football death like standing in a Legoland stadium at the back end of an industrial estate with the pungent smell of sewage drifting in on the air. I think the smell of cr*p was from the Welsh side of the ground.
I don't think the location of the ground has any bearing on our appeal. Maybe it did 60 years ago when less people had cars.
Moving from ML would be a bad move. Too much history and it's Notts' home. What we need is the sustained success that will bring the crowds and realise Derek's ambition. Easy 😀
