They'll send him out on loan to some team like Basford then release him at end of the season, just like they did to Tyrease Palmer. They're never given a chance

Crazy name. Here's hoping. It's been ages since we had a true graduate from the youth ranks to the first team.

Yes, far too many, 'lost' or 'given away'.

He’ll need broad shoulders to get his name on the back of his shirt.

...but think of the extra replica shirt revenue in the club shop, assuming they charge by the letter.

Echoing above statements, I hope he's given some game time. You have to ask what was the point in offering some kids professional terms to release them a year later with no minutes played. I know it's easy with hindsight, but surely if they're good enough to earn a contract, they're good enough for first team football.

That has always been my view too.

Sometimes some people would say well they are on peanuts ....lets say that is correct 3 players on say £400 a week is still £1200 a week.

That is £60k a year you could get a solid first teamer for that money if you dont intend to play youngsters.

I'm in Robertomac/Legs77 camp on this. It doesn't have to be lots but there should be opportunites to play some serious minutes in FA Trophy, early FA Cup games as well as bench warming for league games where invaluable minutes available at the fag end of games when the result is already settled.

No minutes = no point if just given pro contract.

Or it could just make good business sense to get a player on to a professional contract when other clubs have been sniffing around him?
