I wonder what he said to Cornet after he missed that one at Norwich, one which quite possibly got his manager sacked.

He started 17 matches and came on as sub in 3 others and scored 2 and had 3 assists, however. although Army reckons he did not get the service, he missed 6 big chances in those games and hot the woodwork twice. Whether he was sulking or whether he was just very disappointed that he did not score those 6 chances, only he knows.
He will be on his way and will probably continue his scoring exploits with another team. It is just very sad that it was not to be with us in the last half of the season.

Just been checking on Maxwel Cornet's stats. He started 21 matches and came on as sub in 5 others. He scored 9 and had 1 assist, however, he also missed 5 great chances, Norwich and West Ham immediately spring to mind, and those 5 misses along with Wout's 6 misses has a lot to do with the fact that we were relegated and lost a manager in the process.

Lots of fans want us to play a different style, however, if you don't score goals ---you don't win matches!

if you don't score goals ---you don't win matches that is the sad fact of our last season.

However it is my opinion that from the start of last season Sean Dyche set the team up to play for a 0-0 score line and hoping to nick a goal. While this may have been prudent when playing Manchester City, Liverpool or Chelsea it should not have been our tactics when playing the rest of the premier league teams. It was these tactics that caused the loss of our premier league status not the glaring misses by two players, although they did not help the cause by missing them. There was also sitters missed by Barnes, Rodriguez and Wood.

As for Weghorst, he says he does not want to play in the championship for Burnley, which is his choice, but Alan Pace now has a choice to get rid of him for the best possible deal for Burnley FC.
