Thread: Parkinson Turns Notts Down....

  1. #11
Problem is Notts are after a coach not a manager you ain’t going to
    Attract many folk who
Can’t pick there own players could end in a right mess this could owners need to get there finger and wallet out

Got to be honest, glad I've waited on getting my season ticket. We've bought in two players from a lower league and can't even get a manager from a part time club... The board have a lot to do
    This^^^ I haven't bought mine yet either.

Are we gonna be able to attract a decentish coach/manager who's willing to have their players picked for them? Picked by a team who has no one on it that has either played or managed as a pro, either. Meks you wonder?

IB did get to give input, well that’s what he said and I don’t think there’s any reason not to believe it. This approach happens a lot more up and down the leagues now whether they are manager or coach. I don’t think Notts will be that surprised he has turned us down as he’s clearly on a good journey with them and they have rewarded him for that.

Mmm must be slightly concerning for the owners that we can’t prise a part time teams manager away from them. Maybe the compo put us off? With Wootton going and this news, not a good day.

    Haven’t renewed mine yet either.

Altrincham have just gone full-time and apparently their manager was a big advocate for it, so I understand why he's turned notts down. I don't its so much to do with notts not being good enough, but more of his loyalty to a project he's put a lot of work into at Altrincham.

Still, if notts don't pull their respective fingers out soon, I can't see this forthcoming season being a good one.

If Parkinson doesn't want it then him not coming is for the best. Time is marching on though and we need a manager sooner rather than later or we're going to go into next season under prepared playing catch up yet again.
Mike Williamson looks a better bet to me but whether he fits their so far failed ethos is another matter.

Lovely bloke but he was very poor for us and Cambridge and there's no reason to believe he'll be better next time.
