People who ride the island course and closed road racing in general are a special breed of aliens somewhere between extremely brave and extremely stupid and if they weren’t doing this would probably be risking their lives doing some other dangerous job or sport. But 5 deaths with the senior TT still to come today is too much and I think that the island authorities who are already under pressure from residents to stop the racing will have to look at their own consciences to see if this level of loss of life is acceptable.

But this is why they do it ! If the link works

The other alternative is to adjust the course, put restrictions on the bikes and generally " sanitise" it all.

Ending up with a " beige" event like the Grand National, Formula 1 and the majority of football matches

I suggest it’s the thrill coupled with the jeopardy what makes it appealing for the competitors….

As for horse racing as I tell everyone, the competing horse”s wouldn’t be born if they didn”t have horse racing..

NO. I've just thought of a new race. There is rider. And side car race.
    What about a pillion passenger.
    Any volunteers?

You’re supposed to kill them first?

That step in the Jamie Oliver recipe wasn’t that clear.
