We’ve traveled far & wide we’ve been to Merseyside but there is only one place we’d rather be & that’s his. Royal Standard was my pub before games at Millmoor.

Millmoor was surrounded by some great pubs providing some great pints. My favourite was the White Lion for its pint of Wards but there was some good Stoneses in the likes of the Queens, Millmoor Hotel etc. There were that many pubs to choose from just a stones throw from Millmoor I cant even remember all their names.

I seem to recall a little pub on the corner across from the bus depot which served a great pint of Tetleys and I wasn't particularly a Tetleys fan. I cant remember its name but it got demolished some years ago.

Shame a lot have gone. You could have a good pub crawl round there even on non match days before heading to town for the neet clubs.

    Butchers (as already posted)
Eric Guest (relation to Gladstone ?) was landlord

Saturday ritual was a couple in the Drawbridge then bus down to the Butchers, couple more then the match
