That would have been a golden opportunity to put on a special deal for hospitality and showcase hospitality for future league ad cup games at Dens Park.
Club don’t know how to do a special deal, last season, the last match v Hibs, midweek match, hospitality was pay bar, one complimentary drink two course meal £99, now some think that might be a deal, but take into account everyone that went to saints match would have had a ticket for Hibs match

I think they should review their pricing and the offers they have. The game itself has no cost since it is happening regardless of who turns up. Can't believe that the food catering costs need to be based on anything more than a Nicoll's or Roughie's pie or two and a Bovril or two per head. Run a subsidised bar rather than a free bar or a full price bar. How much profit does the club need to make? Seems to me a very basic package might bring in new fans and give the club a chance to show what a good time can be had at Dens.

Many Junior teams are doing hospitality now at a fraction of the cost.
Last season we did our own in the ellenbank, started with sandwiches and sausage rolls, plus 10 drink tokens, bus up to match and return, (some chose to walk), two course meal after the match followed by karaoke, cost £45
I never had one complaint the whole day/night

You had me thinking that was a decent deal until the mention of karaoke.

In my opinion Dundee Football Club are trying to make too much money from their hospitality packages instead of providing a service with a small profit.
I remember the club did a ‘deal’ for hospitality for the last two home games before the pandemic shutdown in March 2020. They were against Alloa and Ayr United.
However instead of putting the people taking the hospitality ‘deal’ in the padded seats in the middle of the Main Stand they were put in the padded seats at the Bobby Cox Stand end of the Main Stand next to the steps leading down to the Penman Lounge.
