I realise old crusties like you consider the rock underclass to be unthinking scum but actually we can plan and think for ourselves.

Many people will have taken water with them, some will not have, you actually can't take liquid containers onto festival sites for 'security reasons' - bit like the football - so to have none when you join the queue isn't really unusual. It's possible that due to the entry congestion those that had water might have used it all expecting to procure additional supplies on site - those that had none will also have expected to procure on site.
How did the Scotland supporters get home from Hampden after the World Cup qualifying match against Ukraine when there were no trains from Mount Florida after 9pm and no trains outwith the the immediate Glasgow area after the game finished due to industrial action by Scotrail train drivers.
    People used their own initiative.
Perhaps most of the Scotland football fans present at Hampden were brought up in a different generation where people thought for themselves instead of expecting to be ‘spoon fed’.

How was the weather before and after the Ukraine game? What time was it? Did the Scotland fans have to contend with beating midday sunshine and high temperatures? The TRSMT thing is not about transport, everyone got there (around as many as got to Hampden) and home again by using initiative and planning ahead.

If you're going to compare at least try to use similar situations. Try doing some proper research too, you seem very weak in that area.

Are you missing the point deliberately? Weren't some golfers brought up in a different generation? Why aren't golfers told to make their own way home? Why aren't golfers told to use their own initiative? Why is park and ride supplied to certain members of the public buying tickets for an event yet not to others?

My daughter went all weekend, took advantage of the free bus pass as o saved me her bus fares to Glasgow!
She walked from bus station each day and only on the Saturday had a crazy wait to get in. Hopefully organizers sort it for next year.
There is 3 park and rides at golf as it's a Tory sport run by Tories who look after the boys.
Might watch a bit on TV as I like Seve.

She walked? Golf fans probably wouldn't even know how to do that - your daughter's initiative in using her free bus pass then walking is very impressive. Obvioulsy part of the correct generation.
