North End, Blackpool, Wigan, Blackburn are going to kick these youths in the air.. sorry but what back 4? As exciting a prospect of a new Pep like manager... can we keep some perspective on how hard the championship is .. physically.. All those teams will be itching to get one over on us and they will have time served championship experience not a group of young potential...
Remember when Fergie let his son have all the Utd youth.. North end sacked him by xmas...

Good man FtD, time we had some hard-nosed realism, to counterbalance all the positivity and happy-clappery. I've already said this, we're virtually starting from scratch in a very hard league indeed. these teams aren't going to sit back and admire our pretty football. This is not a Sunday School league, it's one of the toughest in Europe and we'll do well just to be in the top half of it.

Vinny has already said he needs to blend his youngsters in with experienced professionals. It's a pity Ben Mee jumped ship, he could have been the glue to bind it altogether.

Perhaps Roberts, Lowton, Long, Taylor, Westwood, Cork, Barnes and Rodriguez will show the kids the way?

You'd hope so, if we can rake in another few bob for Cornet and Brownhill the financial pressure must surely be off, and Vinni can work his magic from the touchline with nothing else to worry about.

I expect Terrier Taxis to be receiving the call for fast cabs to London and Merseyside, very imminently mon ami. I also expect another £32.5 million to be hitting ALK's bank account soon.

When this is done like you say, Vinny can work his magic from the touchline and training ground with nothing else to worry about.

Can't remember - did you take me up on the tenner bet I offered about us being in administration anytime soon?

I'm fairly sure we have just the one bet running mon ami. You give me a nice crisp £10 note when it's confirmed we will not be promoted back to the PL this season.
